Zach Thornton (Goakeeper, Chivas USA) -- The big veteran moved from New York to Chivas USA to replace the recently-departed Brad Guzan. Thornton immediately grabbed the starting spot and looked solid (pun intended) against one of his old clubs, the Chicago Fire, on Saturday. He's a great value at around $80K and is sure to put up some points.

Patrick Nyarko (Forward, Chicago Fire) -- This kid is the ideal third forward for your team. He's cheap (around $37K), young, and hungry for success. HIs goal against Thornton gave Chicago three points, and Nyarko was unlucky to have a second strike disallowed by a very close offsides call. After his performance last weekend, expect to see the Ghana-born striker back on the field soon.

Arturo Alvarez OR Darren Huckerby (Forwards, San Jose Earthquakes) -- Each found the net in San Jose's win over the Galaxy, and it looks like they could be a dangerous duo. But this is still an expansion team and a side that has had trouble producing offense, so only take one and see what happens. Huckerby looks like he means business in MLS and Alvarez happy to be out of Dallas, so his production could skyrocket.

Brad Davis (Midfielder, Houston Dynamo) -- What a cracking goal by the left-footed playmaker Saturday! It was only his second goal of the season, but Houston has looked very good lately with three straight wins (including SuperLiga). If Davis can stay healthy and the Dynamo keep on this tear, he will likely add to his stats, and thus to your point total.

SELL

Claudio Suarez (Defender, Chivas USA) -- "The Emperor" is a fantastic defender, but my gut says that it may be a while before he's back on the field. A clash of heads with Nyarko took both men out of the game at the half, but it looked like the Mexican legend actually took the worst of it. As of the writing of this story, there has been no word from the team on the extent of Suarez's injury, but if Patrick Nyarko came away with a "slight concussion" as was reported, Suarez could have a serious one. Then again, I'm not a doctor.

Los Angeles Galaxy Defenders -- Yes, all of them. There's just no other way to put it: this team is top heavy. It seems like the only way that the Galaxy can win games is by putting at least three goals away, because they're almost never going to post a shutout.

Ryan Pore (Midfielder/Forward, Kansas City Wizards) -- I can't figure out how this kid stays in MLS. What has he ever done to deserve it? The fact of the matter is, he's just not very good. If Kansas City waived him -- which they should do -- I seriously doubt that anyone else in the league would pick him up. He didn't do anything horrible against United Saturday and he is not a terrible player. He's just plain average and he doesn't really bring much to the table.

Amado Guevara (Midfielder, Toronto FC) -- See WOW.

WOW (Worst of the Week) Award -- Amado Guevara apparently punches as FC Dallas player in the face during while in the box away from the play. The Honduran gets a straight red card, FCD gets a penalty kick (which Kenny Cooper slots away) and the home side goes on to lose. That's what you get for playing dirty.
